Summer Staff

Counselor

At Camp Tomah Shinga, counselors are the heart and soul of our summer programming. They spend each day with a “Village” of campers and each night in a cabin or tent with a group of campers, acting to show the grace and love that our God shows each of us. Counselors build forever-relationships with other staffers as well as campers that come each summer, and their role here is integral. If you have a heart for children, ministry, and the beauty of creation, this is the perfect role for you.

Support Staff and Specialist

In order for our camp to run, we need the help of our specialists! From high ropes instructors/outdoors specialists to lifeguards to maintenance/house-keeping, we need people of all talents to provide our campers with all the opportunities we have to offer. If you have a passion for children and a heart for service, this position is for you.

Counselor-in Training (CIT)

If you have a passion for camp, a desire to learn the leadership ropes, and are 16 years of age or older, this is the role for you! CITs provide support for counselors throughout the week while learning the basics of leadership at camp. You will be provided opportunities to grow in your faith and take leadership within the “Village” you are serving.

For this position, fill out the staff application form and indicate your desire to act as a CIT.
