The dining hall

Hungry? Up at our Washunga site, our campers eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our dining hall. Our basement houses games and activities galore, and our wrap-around porch provides a fantastic shady area to enjoy some bible study before mealtime!

The Grove

Welcome to our newest site on camp! With raised platform cabins and comfortable bunkbeds, our Trailblazers have the opportunity to truly connect with God’s creation in a deep way. From hearing the sounds of creation at night to eating lunch and supper from over the fire, The Grove will leave campers with a new love for creation.

Woodbine Chapel

Sitting beyond Chapel field and in front of our high ropes course, the Woodbine Chapel came to us in 1984 and was placed in it’s current spot. Settled near our new site, The Grove, our middle school Pathfinders sleep in the chapel if the weather prevents them from staying in our tents. We have updated the basement of the chapel

Gaga Pit

A staple camp game, our gaga ball pit sits in front of the high ropes course and beside the historic chapel. We love nothing more than seeing our campers playing hard!

High Ropes course

Beyond the Chapel field sits our 40-foot tall high ropes course, featuring ziplining, rock climbing, a traverse, the leap of faith, and the newest element: the vertical playpen.

Low Ropes Course

Not a fan of heights, but still want the team building? Then our low ropes course is for you. With multiple challenges meant to encourage teamwork and communication, you will leave low ropes with a stronger bond than you began.

Search

Atop a hilltop, Search acts as one of our many chapels across camp. On Thursday nights, every camper gathers around the fire pit after their hayrack ride to participate in Fun Campfire songs followed by worship, ending the night sleeping out under the stars as a community by the dying fire.

“The Bus”

In the years of Camp Washunga and early years of Tomah Shinga, the bus would cart campers to the community pool to take a dip. However, after much love and many years of use, the bus no longer could safely drive campers. The bus now lives on a mile beyond Search as a hike destination and a shady spot to stop and take a rest.
